Faith formation isn't just a series of classes you graduate from after confirmation! It's a life-long process of exploring, questioning, sharing, experiencing, learning, laughing...well, you get the idea. Here at Grace, we are working hard to make sure everyone has an opportunity to grow in faith--through discussion, learning, and a variety of service and fellowship experiences that open our minds and hearts. You'll find some info on various parts of this ministry below.
Prism includes all of our faith formation opportunities for adults. The name reflects our believe that faith includes many different perspectives--colors, if you will--and the brightest light is created when all of the individual facets come together.
We hope you'll join us at 9:15 for the Adult Forum. Here's a list of our topics coming up:
March 17 - On Doubt: Is Hell Real? If you've ever had questions about a Loving God who burns people for eternity, you're not alone! What is Hell, how has our understanding of it changed over time, and what are we supposed to believe??
March 24 & 31 - No Class due to Spring Break But again, we still gather for Fellowship! There are new folks at church; make sure you invite someone you don't know to coffee and find out what you have in common!
April 7 - On Doubt: The Rapture and the End Times What exactly is the Rapture and do Lutherans believe in it? What do we believe about the End of the World? Why is it all so daggone confusing??
April 14 - Joint Class with Confirmation: Worship What is "liturgy" and why do we do it? Where did it come from?
April 21 - EASTER: Join us for Brunch!
April 28 - Joint Class with Confirmation: Worship What do all the parts of the service mean? What's flexible, and what doesn't change?
